A new take on portraits

I would not say this was the start of my photography hobby, but a new take on portraits for our wall. We had been going to either sears or Walmart and after dealing with them, I decided, traditional is out; real life is in! That is when I started to take our girls' portraits for the wall. These photos were my first attempt of acceptable portraits for our wall! They were taken with our average canon camera at a park near by.
